This is because your graphics card is newer than the game and isn’t included in the game files. You can probably load the Launcher but the game gets stuck on the blue screen with the green plumbob. If you have one of the following Macs the chances are The Sims 3 doesn’t work for you. Please read my post here and help if you can. The aim is to upload the files so all the user has to do is download them and copy the information into their game instead of applying this fix themselves. If you’re still struggling with this fix I am trying to collect information to create custom GraphicsCards.sgr and GraphicsRules.sgr files for Mac users. Only applicable to the 32-bit version of the game
